What should you do if you smell gas or suspect a gas problem?

Avoid any source of ignition

Do not turn lights on or off and do not use electrical appliances, doorbells, flames or cigarettes in the affected area.

Ventilate and isolate only if safe

Open doors or windows only if this can be done immediately without remaining in a dangerous area. Close the gas valve only if it is easily accessible and does not expose you to risk.

Leave and call from outside

Get everyone out and move away. Use a phone only from a safe location to contact the emergency services, network operator or a qualified professional.

Do not restart the installation

Do not use the appliance or installation again until it has been checked and declared safe by a qualified professional or competent service.
